Stripped
I was down at the bodyshop yesterday to see how things are going with my baby. She's in for some minor bodywork and a fresh coat of paint. I was very happy to hear that there were no surprises once they got the paint off. Whew!

Found the build sheet!
Yesterday I was doing some work on the car and I decided to hunt for the build sheet. After searching a few Camaro sites, I was reasonably certain the sheet was stuffed behind the rear seat.
After taking out the bottom two cushions and removing the two bolts for the top cushion, I lifted the top cushion and reached in behind. I was so happy to feel a piece of paper stuffed half way up on the passenger side.
Here's a copy of what I found.

Welcome to my blog. Last year was both sorrow and joy. At the beginning of the year I sold off my 73 RS LT Camaro (sorrow) and found my current 81 Z28 (joy). The 73 was a hot car to look at from the curb but it was rusted beyond saving. I talked to several bodyshops and they would either not touch it or quoted $30k plus to fix it so off she went.
My new ride is a rust-free original paint beauty. She is an 81 Z28 4 speed with T-tops. She was born on June 2, 1981 in Norwood, OH and shipped June 4th to Mike McMahon Chev Olds Ltd. in Dunnville, Ontario. I am the 4th owner.
From the factory these cars came with a 175HP 350 (160HP 305 in the States as it is a 4 speed). My ride has been rebuilt by previous owner who is a heavy duty mechanic. The car still has original block, forged 11-1 pistons, Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold and Holley 750 double pumper carb. The 194 double hump (camel) heads have screw in studs and guide plates, intake was ported and polished, thick connecting rods ,high volume oil pump, Comp 292H cam/.501 lift, and motor has been balanced. Engine is putting out 320+ HP.
Now she has both the looks and the muscle to back it up.
